Report: Precision Silviculture - Māori Consultation

The Precision Silviculture Programme (PSP) is a joint initiative between the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and industry, led by Forest Growers Research Ltd (FGR). It's backed by a $25.5 million Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures grant over seven years. At the end of 2024, Ngā Pou a Tāne held hui with tangata whenua operating in the forestry sector to improve understanding of the perspectives of the people operating in forestry-based silvicultural (tree selection for propagation, pruning, harvesting) roles.
